Welcome to Tabletop Theory

Presenting at NASPA Strategies 2026

My name is Joe LeConte. I help universities and mental health providers to develop applied RPG groups and communities that fit their institutions. I believe that every community is different and they have the ability to tell their own stories. I work with my clients to help them discover those stories, and feel empowered to build a community that reflects their institutional values. I am also a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Chemical Dependency counselor. I am trained in Solution-Focused Counseling Motivational Interviewing and Person Centered Therapy.

Joe helped us take the Supportive Gaming Community we built from his initial training and make it stronger, more intentional, and more impactful. He’s an engaging and entertaining speaker who brings real depth to the intersection of mental health, community, and geek/gaming culture.
